FAQ

Why did a PNG get bigger?

PNG cannot be re-encoded with a quality factor in the browser, so compressing means converting to JPG or WEBP. On tiny graphics that occasionally grows the file: the per-file percentage tells you immediately.

Does compression remove transparency?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are flattened onto white. Choose WEBP to keep the alpha channel.

Is there a file size limit?

Processing is local, so the practical limit is your device's memory, not a server quota.
